Wound care: Initial blood and fluid oozing will be caught in the bandage within the first few hours. If this sits next to your skin for an extended period of time it could lead to an infection. Make sure you check under the bandage within 3-4 hours and change to a clean, dry bandage if there is a lot of discharge. Apply triple antibiotic ointment and keep covered for several days until open wounds close up.
