Injured right footinside above arch when our 40 pound dog landed on top of foot. had x-rays done 5 days ago. no stress fractures seen. wrapped with ace. iced, tylenol and somewhat better but still hurts with movement. what now? more time? re x-ray?

The equivalent of a bone scuff or bruise can be as painful for some as a break. The nerve endings are on the outside of the bone. It may just need more time. If it remains a problem an x-ray taken 2 weeks after an injury can reveal subtle changes of healing that would point out a hidden break/crack.
