It depends : On the size of the cut the depth and the time passed since it happened but in general most cuts will heal on their own if they are immobilized so they don't recurrently open and close

Wound care: May need stitches if wound depth > 1/4”, wound edges are gaping or jagged or if fat / muscle is visibly extending from wound. If you are not able to stop the bleeding with application of pressure - you should seek medical care. When was your last tetanus shot?
