Possibly: Fixed crown and bridge work need actual teeth to support them, both front and back of the space. If you don't have the proper number of teeth, then an implant is your option. In addition, if you do have the proper abutments and they are pristine with no restorations, why cut them down to place crowns?

See a Dentist: Although an implant/crown may be the best solution, there are many different ways to replace a missing tooth. But which ones are available to resolve your problem cannot be determined without a professional examination. Please see a Dentist for a qualified answer.
