Wouldn't do it: The description sounds like the kid has a deep cellulitis that needs a doctors evaluation & aggressive treatment. If the germs get into the deeper layers of skinand ligaments it may put him in the hospital for surgical drainage and prolonged IV therapy. Take the kid in now.
