A member asked:

My recent ct scan says, "bowel structures: there is mild thickening to the sigmoid colon likely due to incomplete distention rather than colitis. there's no small bowel obstruction." should i be concerned? advise is greatly appreciated. thank you?

To me the words say the radiologist thinks things are normal. The colon is like a balloon, the walls get thinner when it is completely full & slightly distended/thinner when less is inside. I wouldn't over think it but you should discuss this with your doc.
