68wf. headache on left side of face.-5days. top of head on the left ,temple ,the top of left ear were painful to touch . taking ibuprofen. now started sharp stabbing pains on that same side (temple behind left ear radiating to left jaw)?

Of concern : For shingles as many times one sided pain predates in time the rash. Temporal arteritis comes to mind also, aside from TMJ arthritis and among others. Would suggest a quick check in with your primary care doc who would be in the best position to further address.
