A member asked:

What are things to discuss and or ask my rheumatologist? i was diagnosed with mctd at a very early age and seemingly have never received answers to the extent of my condition. i feel like they look at labs more than physical condition.

Research: This is a great opportunity to educate yourself. Look up MCTD on a respected site such as Mayoclinic.org or rarediseases.info.nih.gov. Take the time to learn what your disease is/ how it works/ what is involved. Once you start learning, you will have questions that your Rheumatologist can answer. Write them down and bring the list to your next appointment. As an adult you can take an active role.
