There is redness and puss under skin where nails and skin connect and no fever. my doctor did give antibiotics but its been 5days and still there he gave more antibiotics but i want to also try and help heal it with the soaking and ointment?

Infection: Sometimes a portion of the nail needs to be removed for this to heal properly. You can use epsom salt soaks but if there is a bit a jagged nail pushing into the skin, you may continue to have problems.
