Within last 2 months ive had:bursitis of elbow(went away w steroids&antibio).3wks later got uti. i have major strain in upper right(same as the elbow bursitis was)for a year. nerve pain neck, shoulder, arm. can nerve issues cause this? infections?:(

Neck pain: People who have severe arthritis or disc problems in their neck can have pain, numbness not only in their neck but also in the shoulder, arm and into the hand.It's important to have a provider check this to see if the problem is in the neck or shoulder or just in the arm;tests like MRI and nerve studies can help with this. This is usually not causing infections though.

Sxs.: I agree with Dr. Ellis. Although the joint pain may be inter related, this is not likely a cuase for infections.
