Hi doctors! i have been on plavix since 2004. i have five stents. i trust my cardiologist very very much, but with total respect to him, i had read that plavix is typically only for one year. is that true? can you be on plavix for too long a period?

One year: One year after a stent is the usual practice. You may wish to consult a different cardiologist. Wish you good health!
