Viral/amox reaction: Your son most likely has a viral rash or an allergic reaction to the antibiotic. If he is afebrile, otherwise resolving his illness, please ask your pediatrician about stopping the antibiotic. The treatment may be switched to another antibiotic. If he has had prior allergic reactions or if there is a family history of allergies, this increases his likelihood of an allergic reaction.
