Yes: Yes. Loss of taste and smell can be from other viruses and allergies , but yes you should be tested and keep isolated from other people

COVID 19: This symptom may or may not be a COVID 19 symptom. The incubation period is usually 2 to 14 days (but can be as quick as one day). The median time if 5 days. You have more chance of having an accurate test result if you have symptoms or you wait at least a few days after COVID 19 contact.
