Can the covid 19 virus be picked up on chest x-rays?

Define pick up ?: There are some rather specific findings in x-rays of covid patients when their lung problems are advanced. However, it would not be considered a way to screen patients for covid. Many never have symptoms anyway.

COVID 19: Agree with Dr. Ferguson, There are a number of findings that can be characteristic for COVID 19 on X-ray and CT Scan. However, these findings are not found in all COVID cases nor are they completely unique to COVID infections. Thus, the viral infection can not be diagnoses with radiographic studies alone.
