Yes: Urinary Tract infections are often treated with broad spectrum antibiotics that cover a variety of bacteria. it may be that your infection is caused by a bacteria that is not sensitive to that antibiotic. Once you completely finish the initial course of antibiotics, if the symptoms persist, call or see you Dr for further instructions. They may decide to put you an a different antibiotic.
