Hi dr. how long should 5 sutures for a 3cm laceration around bottom and side half of right small toe stay in? dr who put it in said 7 days but shouldnt it stay in longer? what would happen if i keep it in longer?

Suture Removal: Sutures are often kept in longer for 7 days for lower extremity lacerations but I don't know enough about your exact injury to be able to comment on why sutures were recommended for 7 days.
