Lacerations: Traumatic lacerations on the bottom of the foot from sharp objects can cause pain, swelling and sometimes infection and even fracture if deep enough. It is important to seek medical treatment from a professional if any of these apply to you. In a healthy individual with no other medical problems, superficial lacerations can heal within 10-14 days.
