Hi dr. on saturday i fell and got laceration around my right small toe. i got 5 stitches. nurse covered it in bandages and told me to take off bandage next day, savlon and apply bactroban. should i savlon and bactroban everyday? can i get wound wet?

Antibiotics : I have to disagree with the previous answer. Since it is a laceration and not a sterile wound applying antibiotic after the stitches have been applied on a daily basis would therefore be indicated or an oral antibiotic also stitches in the foot are usually required to be in place for two weeks otherwise dehiscence is common
