How tall are you ?: Given your stated age & weight it is confusing as to why you would want to gain weight. If you are at least 5'9" a weight of 168 lb would be considered at the high end of a healthy weight. From 5'8" down to 5'3" you would be considered overweight & below 5'2" obese. I would discuss this with your doc before pursuing weight gain.

Goals: With a small body frame at 162 lbs you may not want to gain weight for staying healthy. Do involve your primary care doc in such decisions.
