A member asked:

I am a 52 year old female. my iron is slightly low. every once in awhile i will get the shakes for a few minutes. could this be because of low iron?

I don't think so: Iron deficiency may result in restless leg symptoms in some women, but a few minutes of "shakes" doesn't sound like rls. Are you taking any iron replacement? At your age, if you are post-menopausal, iron deficiency is not normal, and should be evaluated by your health care professional. You should talk to him/her about these symptoms as well.
