Leave it alone: Let fall off without help. Okay to keep area covered with bandaid.

Leave it...: You are lucky that you caught it in time to use the flap as a natural bandaid. As the underlying skin heals, it will begin to dry out and slough. It wouldn't hurt to have a podiatrist check it to make certain it is healing properly and to make sure there is no risk of infection.

Do not : Cut it off. Let it heal with the flap and take away any friction to area until it heals. Watch for redness or pain increase and if that happens take to podiatrist.
