A member asked:

My daughter was at dr yesterday and he said that it might be glandular fever. they took blood but no results yet. she is still extremely nauseous and her whole body is sore. she cannot hold anything in and is taking pills but not working?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Focus on fluids: The main focus of supportive care is the fluid balance. Things like ice chips that melt slowly, chilled applesauce, soup and geletin will often be able to help them avoid hospitalization. Sweetened fluids often reduce nausea or her doc could send out tablets that dissolve under her tongue to quell nausea. If she can pee every 8 hrs she is hydrated enough to be at home. If longer=recheck
