Maybe: Whatever it is , it is all through your family. Could be just a virus. Chest tightness can be viral, wheezing, or pneumonia. If you continue with tightness you need to be seen.

M.D. visit: Pneumonia may develop as a result of an infection of the lungs. It is possible to develop pneumonia from a viral illness. If the symptoms include high fever, chills, sputum, respiratory difficulty, and/or do not improve within three days, a physician visit is advised. From your description the illness may be influenza, another viral illness or a bacterial illness such as Strep.
