Yes and maybe.: Guttate psoriasis is usually triggered by an underlying infection, so either that the infection that originally caused it has returned, or a new infection has developed. You need to get back on treatment, but your doctor also needs to find the underlying infection, if possible, and treat that too. It won't go away on its own unless the triggering infection resolves.
