It can: Psoriasis can certainly show up in many places on the body, usually elbows, knees, limbs, and scalp. It can also flare at times. It will usually have periods where it is better and periods where it is worse, but usually does not ever fully go away. Various factors such as infection, emotions, and environmental factors can cause it to flare.

It can: The course of psoriasis is quite variable. It may worsen and involve greater areas of the skin or stay the same. There are conditions that may make it worse - colder and damp waether or lack of sun exposure, or certain drugs - like withdrawing steroids that worsen the disease.

Psoriasis can worsen: Like everything else in the world, psoriasis will get better, worse, or stay the same over time. There is no way to predict how one person's psoriasis will behave. Treatment is based on the severity of the psoriasis, and how much it is affecting the person's life. Mild psoriasis is usually controlled with topical medications. More severe disease requires light treatments or systemic medication.
