Vasculitis: Cellulitis appears as a red, swollen area that feels hot and tender to the touch. It is associated with a break in the skin that has been infected. Vasculitis is an inflammation of the blood vessels which can also cause calf pain in the lower extremities when blood is not able to circulate properly. Causes include infections, cancer, immune disease and meds. See a Dr for diagnosis and treatment.
