Have you: Been seen and treated? If your diagnosis is accurate you need to be treated with antibiotics. If the infection is better, no fever, no lymph nodes in your groin you could go back, but the best would be to be seen and get the doctor's input...

Rest: I would take antibiotics and give some rest till pain and swelling gets a little better.
