Burning/pinching/achy pain in right flank. does not seems to be constant. sometimes it comes on suddenly. sometimes it eases with change of position before the pain comes back. ribs in the area appears to hurt when pressed. is it worrisome?

Flank pain: Any persistent pain should be evaluated .May be gallbladder ( hence rib pain), or kidneys ( classic flank pain), or sciatica , or if female from ovaries , or vaginitis ( mycoplasma/ ureoplasma in my experience) or from liver or even lungs -at times pneumonia can present just as rib pain. F/u/ w/ MD within 24 hours.
