A member asked:

Could cervical stenosis cause any soreness or burning in the right flank? directly up underneath right back rib. when i push in with fingers its sore.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not likely: Pain that exactly reproduces with direct pressure is likely a focal problem—irritated muscle or trigger point, fractured rib, torn muscle, etc. Neck problems more likely to cause neck/arm symptoms, stumbling, loss of coordination in hands, numbness/weakness, dropping objects. Unlikely to cause pain on pressure. Ps—highway 50/65 driving could also cause this . . . Go mizzou!
