What is a crp test? mine was <3.0 what are they looking for? what cancer does this test detect?

Inflammation : CRP is one of the markers of inflammation. It dies not detect any cancer. What symptoms do you have? The doctor who ordered the test should be the one to ask as to what was s/he looking for. Your result is not diagnostic of anything. Wish you good health!

CRP : I agree with Dr S. CRP is used to risk stratify people for heart disease, since it is the number one killer. It is a preventive test in some cases.

My blood test results say my CRP is 5.8, I have had a brain tumor before so when I look up this up I have seen the word cancer and thats where my mind goes. What does a 5.8 CRP mean?
Hdl 46, ldl 44, triglycerides 182, crp over 10, hs crp 9.8, sed rate 71. All other tests normal and no symptoms. What does all this mean? Should I be concerned about possible cancer? Ill also diabetic and have osteoarthritis. Thanks?
