Stay watchful: Children frequently swallow small objects. Most pass through the GI tract in 24h with no problems. Call your childs Dr to let them know what happened. They may want to examine the child. Go directly to the ER if the child has trouble breathing, speaking, or swallowing, is spitting up saliva or vomiting, has chest pain/stomach pain/pain when swallowing, is vomiting blood/passing blood in stool

Basics: A kid that can swallow liquids without difficulty has passed the foreign material into their stomach. A small marble made of glass should travel easily through the gut & pass without problems in 2-4 days. Button batteries or magnets would require an ER visit but this should not. Stewed okra fed to the kid can form a congeal around any foreign object & help it pass.
