Ok hi so i recently went to the doctor to get a pap smear & since im sexually active the doctors told me that i had came down with trich & bv. what i wanted to know is does that mean my male partner has it even tho he didnt give it to me?

BV, bacterial : vaginitis, is not typically sexually transmitted. Trich, trichomonas, is almost always sexually transmitted. Males typically have very little symptoms.

Infection: Agree with Dr. Boling. Bacterial vaginosis is not considered a sexually transmitted disease. Trichomoniasis is an STD and your partner could have it and be unaware . This is because it is often a "silent" disease.
