Get checked for STDs: Vaginal bleeding after sex is suspicious for cervicitis, often due to STDs like gonorrhea, chlamydia, sometimes trichomonas. BV itself doesn't bleed. Metronidazole is fine for BV and trich, but not for gonorrhea or chlamydia. Probably you were tested for STDs, but if you only spoke with your doc and not seen in person, return to the office and insist on exam and lab testing. Good luck!
