Don't be scared: Seeing black spots is a common eye problem usually associated with aging and usually not indicative of anything serious. Your exam at the Eye Dr will let them look at the retina, lens and other components of the eye so that they can make sure there is not any other cause. Make sure you mention any injuries or head trauma, as well as any recent infections.
