im 20 and i see still black spots(definitely not floaters) along with white flashes in both eyes for 2-3 seconds this is happening for 5 months, got eyes checked by opthalmologist, he is saying its viterous degeneration, i don't think this is common?

It was small spot often gets opaque when I see. now it grew a bit larger circle through which I see light greenish images. Rest of the field is normal. Opthalmologist dialated n said it is floater and prescribed some vit. suppl and a lubricant eye drops.

I sometimes (couple of times daily) see starlike, tiny bright spots:akin to phosphenes seen when straining your eyes to look way up or down. It's not squiggly like floaters, nor flashing. But fading at random. Am i getting fixated on normal things?
