I'm suffering uric acid issue for the past 8 yrs. i used to take allupurinol tablets 300mg for 1 month followed by 100 mg for 2 months, then my uric acid level gets reduced. after stopping medication for 2 months again level increases and gout pain.

Uric acid: It sounds like you may need a maintenance dose of allopurinol in the range of 100-300 mg. As of now there are very clear indications for maintenance therapy in gout and your doc or rheumatologist should be able to clarify based on specifics pertaining to your condition.
