Yes, but: Niacin can reduce the effectiveness of allopurinol, which might increase your chance of gout flareup. Talk to your doctor to see if there needs to be an adjustment in your Allopurinol dose while on niacin.

Be careful: Niacin can raise uric acid. Consult with your doc with regards to acceptable dosages.
