Get checked: The only way to know what this is is to be examined by your doctor. It sounds more like a yeast infection of the skin and surrounding area than something that would be passed during sex. Without an exam there is no way to know. If an over the counter yeast medication solves the problem then most likely that's all it was. Schedule a visit.
