Not enough info: One possibility could be intermittent claudication which is caused decreased blood flow to your extremities. This is something that would be require a visit to your primary care physician.

Either: Either may help with symptoms. Hydrocortisone cream which is available over-the-counter may both relieve the symptoms and help get rid of the rash. Antihistamines like claritin, zyrtec and Benadryl (diphenhydramine) will also help for both.

Decrease Stress: Stress/anxiety makes the symptoms of IBS worse. The goal of giving antidepressants to a patient is to reduce their stress, thus decreasing the IBS symptoms. Antidepressants increase serotonin levels in nerve endings. The GI tract and the brain have receptors to which serotonin increasing medicines (antidepressants) bind. Increasing serotonin in the GI tract decreases IBS symptoms.

There are options: Depending upon the source of your pain, there are several analgesic options. Nsaid's are best for inflammatory conditions , bone and joint pain. There are prescription strength nsaid's as well as over the counter options. Risks are gastric bleeding, increased risk with cardiac or renal disease. Tramadol may be well tolerated , with less nausea than codeine.
