Avoid: The most important things are stop smoking, decrease alcohol intake, do not eat 2 hours before going to bed. Elevate the head of the bed, avoid tight fitting clothes, loose weight if you are overweight. Ten pounds can make a huge difference. See a doctor to make sure that this is not just a symptoms of something else. Reflux symptoms can be many things.
