Yes: if you have lactose intolerance then it is not a great idea If you have no symptoms after you eat ice cream then you are ok to eat it

Ice cream and GERD: Usually it is recommended that individuals with GERD avoid smoking, fatty foods( usually fried), spicy foods, caffeine, sodas,chocolate, acid foods (like tomatoes). So if the ice cream is lower fat and not chocolate it should be OK.
