Gastroenterologist: A gastroenterologist is best qualified to evaluate and treat you. Appropriate tests will be ordered in order to make a diagnosis. Possibilities include lactose or gluten intolerance as well as a hiatus hernia with reflux. In the meantime keep note of what foods trigger symptoms, don't go to bed with food in your stomach, sleep with your chest elevated higher than your abdomen, take prilosec, mylanta

Is my childs coughing related to heart burn? He does not have any breathing problems

Possibly: Coughing is a symptom and not a condition, therefore there are many possible causes. Heart burn (also known as gastroesophageal reflux disease or gerd) is a possible cause, especially if there are no breathing problems. Other causes include upper respiratory infections, allergies and asthma. Mild asthma can present as a cough without respiratory distress.

I had a colostomy reversal. I have never gotten back to the same type of bowel movements--it has been fairly mushy since. Is this normal?

Yes, in most cases.: Usually patients with a colostomy have had part of their colon removed. The colon is responsible for reabsorbing water from the stool. If you have less colon, then you will reabsorb less water and your stool will be softer and less formed in character. If you are not having any other symptoms besides the mushy stools, don't be alarmed. See your doctor if you have other symptoms though.

Too many : Nonspecific issues to give you an answer, so i would suggest you discuss each of these with your primary care doctor. They do not seem to be related to each other.

Very possible.: In my area of expertise the bleeding gums is a fairly accurate sign, especially if you consider yourself to have a healthy mouth and good oral hygiene.

Unclear: Could be side effect of using the Cipro (ciprofloxacin) or may be that bladder infection not fully treated. Follow up with your md.
