Balls are not normal: Newborn stools, after clearing out the sticky meconium stuff, are not balls. If balls, then the baby's pediatrician can examine both the stools and baby. That means taking some good cellphone pictures of the stool balls to show the doctor. Newborn stools are watery or seedy or like sauce. They are any shade of yellow or green. They should not be whitish nor claylike. Breastfeeding = looser stools.
