A member asked:

Why would a doctor prescribe furosemide (lasix) for a child of 14yrs old with lupus?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hard to say: You get the most from this site when you provide detailed information with any question. Simply citing Lupus as a label with no details about the issues involved is too vague to allow a review of any treatment. We would never 2nd guess a doc who had the patients full history, exam & lab findings in mind before providing any treatment. You are welcome to start over or just get a 2nd opinion locally
