Got edema in ankles and feet on vacation. then severe sunburn. 5 days later can't walk. severe pain. doctor prescribed lasix, how soon will this help?

Depends: its possible that some of the swelling is increased fluid in your tissues due to the sunburn. i would bet that it is the burn that makes walking not bearable. the lasix may help marginally with the discomfort, but so would elevating your legs. treating the burn (ie with moisturizers) would likely help the swelling quite a lot, and may make walking bearable again sooner, as well.
