Blocked canal: I believe that wax is blocking your ear canal. The water caused it to swell and your cleaning attempt probably pushed the wax further into the canal. A physician or Otolaryngologist is best evaluate,diagnose and treat you which most likely will involve removing the wax buildup.

Ear wax stuck in ear? I took a shower last night and i still have some sort of water/wax buildup impairing my hearing in my left ear. I tried dropping rubbing alcohol in it and using an expired tube of debrox, but no luck, yet also no physical pain.

Hi, on the 4th of July me and some friends shot fireworks and one malfunctioned by my ear and since then my ear has felt as if theres water in it. I can still hear just fine out of it but theres a difference between my left and right ear.
