A member asked:

If taking antibiotic once with no issue does that mean is safe from then on or can adverse reactions/side effects occur w/ future use?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No. Yes.: Problems can happen during future use. With any antibiotic, one can get tummy upset, looser stools, even watery diarrhea. Usually but not always, gastrointestinal symptoms go away when the antibiotics are stopped. Allergic rashes can last a few days, but can be much longer in a few unlucky people. A doctor can evaluate, if a patient is getting some symptoms that may be related to antibiotics.
