Maybe, but that...: That would be a very hard decision when a woman is carrying a normal baby (if the baby's only issues are that he or she has a depressed mother and an inherited risk for depression). We don't want to lose normal babies. Psychiatric illnesses in pregnant women are treated with medications so that women can have good mental functioning. One's psychiatrist can help a lot in these cases.
