What is your opinion about a 2.5cm nodular found on the thyroid. what are the chances that it is malignant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Multiple factors: Thyroid modules are common, & most of them are not malignant, but need to be evaluated & followed over time. If you haven’t had a full history & physical exam & ultrasound & thyroid blood tests, all that needs to be done. They may also consider fine needle aspiration to obtain cells for cytology analysis. If all of that is normal the module can be followed over time with phys. exams & ultrasound
