Thyroid nodule: Yes, usually, thyroid cancer is more common in nodules ≥2 cm than those <2 cm. But size is not the only risk factor. Other risk factors include age, history of neck radiation, function of thyroid nodule ,and ultrasound feature, etc. A larger thyroid nodule with irregular margins, hypoechoic, microcalcification has increased risk of thyroid cancer.
